Home International Rowing the home of the HIR Regatta and the HIR Beach Sprints providing talented rowers and coxswains an opportunity to compete for their Home Nation: England, Ireland, Scotland or Wales.

The Regatta

The 57th edition of the Home International Rowing Regatta will be hosted by Wales at Dorney Lake, Windsor, on Saturday 26th July 2025.

Home International Rowing is proud to provide pathway events, allowing developing athletes to experience their first taste of international competition and often acting as a springboard to selection onto the GB and Ireland teams.  The Management Committee aim to mirror many of the event changes that happen at World Rowing Events.  To this end, we are pleased to announce two event changes at the Home International Rowing Regatta for 2025

 1.        U23 M1x and U23 W1x (replacing  the lightweight singles)

2.       PR3 Mix 2x (replacing the PR3 singles)

 Zoe Hayes, Chair of the  Management Committee and delegate for Welsh Rowing said “We are delighted to include these new events in our exciting schedule of racing and as a committee, we will continue to be agile with our decision making to ensure that HIR remains current and gives athletes the best experience of racing for their Home Nations”.

The Beach Sprints

The 4th Home International Rowing Beach Sprints will be hosted by Rowing Ireland and held in Loughros Point, Co. Donegal on Saturday 20th September 2025.
